American Canyon is located about 35 miles northeast of San Francisco at the southern end of Napa County. This charming hillside city has approximately 14,306 residents and continues to grow rapidly. Incorporated as a city in 1992, American Canyon is primarily made up of middle-income residences, with budding commercial activity along Highway 29. Award-winning School District
American Canyon is a part of the Napa Valley Unified School District. There are three elementary schools and one middle school in town. Over the last three years, Napa Valley Unified School District has revamped its school support model, resulting in a 25-point gain on California's Academic Performance Index (API) district-wide, and growth in more than 90 percent of district schools.
